Hi there
Can anyone help me make sense of what I need to do please? My husband has been offered a job managing a farm in Nova Scotia. He has been a Naturalized Canadian citizen since 1974 but has been living back in the UK since 1999. He is going over to Nova Scotia start work mid January and our 2 year old daughter and I plan to follow around Easter time when I have wound up my business, sorted out the house etc...
I know that he can sponsor me in the Family Class for permanent residency but I know that this can take a while. I think it is better for us to apply from outside the country for speed, and because I am still here. Is that correct?
Can I move out there with him before our application is completed? Do I need to apply for a work Visa before I join him if I want to work there too while the residency application is being processed?
I think that our daughter is automatically Canadian because her father is Canadian, despite being born in the UK. So we just need to get her a Canadian passport. Is that correct?
Thank you to anyone who can help.
