EMAIL RESPONSE FOR OPEN WORK PERMIT

IF there is a thread for this already plz point me the way.

I applied for PR through the family sponsorship for spouse through Mail. We also put an application for an open work permit along with the PR. WE received an email stating that they got the mail and along with that the UCI and app no. but the email made no mention of the work permit.

Will they send a separate email for that or is it all tied to the main application for the PR?

i got this email in oct 20 2016.... i know its only been one month but just wanted to know the above
 
Oh and its inland application... she is here on a visit visa which ends in december... i have been told she can over stay as long as we have submitted the application and are waiting for a decision.
 
You'll receive a separate communication once the OWP is approved. You won't receive a separate communication telling you the OWP has been received.
