Hey Folks

Is it necessary to show all printed out emails between my spouse and myself for sponsorship or are screenshots of emails in both of our inboxes sufficient?

Thank you!!

If you are sending a combination of skype logs/emails ect. I would just take screen shots of both your inbox's then maybe give a sample of one or two emails(full thing) a month or every other month if you have a lot. Pick and choose ones that show your relationship developing or maybe anything that has you discussing your future.

I have nothing discussing our future together hahaha. We talk about serious things over the phone. Does that matter?

I didn't really either so I think it is ok. If you are writing a personal letter you can try to include that in it as well. I wrote that since we talk daily via phone or Skype that the important issues are discussed then.

I also lost some saved logs due to re-installing windows so had a slight gap (2 months) which I explained as well.

I didn't submit any at all. I said I would make them available if they requested them. way too much stuff to send. Plus the content is pretty private stuff. You can send samples. A few from the beginning throughout your contact until now.

We sent in a screen shot of our mailbox showing all emails sent (to/from). We then included a sample of about 15 conversations spread over the course of our time together.

We barely had any on-line chat logs. Initially I didn't know it would be required (and I'm not a fan of saving chat history). We did have lots of phone, and text msg history via phone, and skype.

That's a really good idea. Thanks!

It isn't easy to print chat logs. Was your sponsorship approved?

Yes my sponsorship was approved and my wife has just sent in her passport. So maybe another month for us then we are done.

Just make sure that all the other documents you submit are thorough and complete. We sent in many pics and copies of travel agendas, plane tickets, gifts from friends and family.

Yep, just waiting for PP.

Actually we didn't even include any on-line chat history. Just need to make sure that the overall proof sent is of top quality.

How thick was your application? Mine is about 5 inches thick and includes around 230 pictures. It might be overkill but I just had a lot to show.

Mine was about an inch thick and they still lost some of it anyway.

3.5inches or so. I included about 20-25 photos each for relationship (before and after wedding), engagement, wedding, reception. So about 100pics...

Did you have a traditional wedding? What I did was include a guest list (close relatives and friends) for both sides and what relationship they had to groom/bride. Then I selected pics that showed them with bride and groom. Behind each photo I had transparent labels saying who is who...

I just wrote names with a description. Some pics were just names. I had 250 pics so it's really hard writing who is who and what not on all the pics. I also have a guest list from both sides.

Mine was an arranged marriage so it is harder than others.

I don't know man, it seems that NDVO processes arranged marriage faster (all things being considered equal), and I know three guys who had their visas in about 4 months. Who knows, you may be one of those lucky ones :)
