I got permanent resident status for Canada in 2016

In last 5 years, I lived in Canada for 3 months only.

Am currently living in Canada.

My PR card will expire in December 2021

Am I eligible to apply for PR card renewal?

Not at this time.

You need to wait until you have lived in Canada for 2 out of the last 5 years before you will be able to submit the application to renew your PR card.

So if you arrived in Canada 3 months ago, then you need to wait another 21 months before you apply to renew your PR card.

1) Can I live in Canada with expired PR card?

2) Do they process PR renewal, after 21 months? Because my card will get expired in next 6 months....
