Have you looked to see what the required hours are needed for EI based upon where you live and the prevailing unemployment rate online ? Hours required are different across the country. Minimum hours needed in Toronto could be different then the minimum hours needed in let’s say Hamilton
Btw from your posts you have a student permit , and one of the CORE conditions of collecting EI is you have to be ready, able and ACTIVELY looking for work . Don’t know how that’ll fit in with being a student. Since it’s not a work permit you hold , it’s a student permit with work auth attached

To the best of my knowledge you do not qualify for EI while on a study permit. You must be holding a work permit or be a PR / Canadian citizen.
