I recently received a PPR to submit my passport to Ottawa by mail. I am currently on a student visa ( expiring in June) and cutting it really close to time. I also have travel plans for May end 2023, and my passport is my only accepted valid ID in the US, so cannot risk waiting for 30-40 days or even a little over 2 weeks.
My question is - Can I request PPR to be submitted to VAC LA, where I did my biometrics?

- What is the timeline (tentative if submitted to VAC vs Ottawa)
Any help would be appreciated. Running against the clock as if I am denied to submit to VAC LA, I will for sure exceed my stay in the US)
