Hi everyone,

One of the questions in the IMM 5669 (Schedule A) for is:

Provide the number of years of school you successfully completed for each of the following levels of schooling.

Elementary/Primary:
Secondary/High School:
University/College:
Trade/Other Post Secondary:

I'm from the UK, and I know that our education timelines are different than in Canada. Should I convert my UK timelines to Canadian? For example, in the UK we spend 5 years at secondary school, 2 years at college, and 3 years at university.

Does this really matter?

Thanks!

It's still marked in an British way...primary school, high school and then group college and university together. Then when they ask for details break it down there.

They know schooling systems are different from country to country

Im Scottish and didnt do any converting..wouldn't even know how or know why I would have. I just put down the number of years I was in each. Don't over think it (easier said that done i know!).

As others have said, no need to convert anything. It's not the same for all people in the UK remember. I didn't go to college, but I did 10 years of post-secondary. They know it varies.
