Yeah, let's play the waiting game: applied mid-January 2013, in process late March 2013, transferred to Edmonton early January 2014... and still waiting for the next step.
Apparently Edmonton office is now scheduling tests for summer 2012 applicants.

I know edmonton is slowest of all cic centers. Toronto side is much faster people who applied nov 2013 are already citizens

Edmonton are the worst, applied in Jul 2011, wrote exam Sep 2012, got RQ, and they just say that it might take up to May 2015 before a decission made.

Every one should send an e-mail to there respective MP'S or Immigration minister canada to seep up edmonton. I know they listen to it if there's a few emails....I mean they can't ignore 15-20 email as we will also be the ones voting in next election (hopefully)lol

I don't think we can call them directly, all calls have to be directed to the 1-800 for CIC (at least my understanding).

I know we can't but u can e.mail ur local MP'S office or call his office for sure..

You do not see that on ECAS anymore... I found out from my GCMS report,by reviewing combination of fields. You can also call CIC and ask if your file has been transferred: they should see that on their screens.

That is quick, I got a FP request 8 months after my file went in process.

Means they are working on your file.

When FP requests come in - That means the background checks have been revised

Is fingerprint request mandatory to all applications? Do you see it updated in ECAS? Thanks!
