I think because we have FP. We have to wait for a week and so to be able to have DM. Cause RCMP need to send those result and CIC vancouver have to process it as well.

Did officer asked for original ielts result copy after test ?

No ielts in our case. Just PR card , Alberta Heathcare card , driving licence, new and old passport.

From what I've read on a few threads, those who get the invitation to do their test the same day as oath are those who live hundreds of miles away from the nearest local processing centre. So, it seems to be predictable.

I confirm.
I live over 300 Km away from Edmonton and here are all my details. Test and ceremony the same day

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 29, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 8, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on November 16, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on January 11, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 5, 2018 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on January 11, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on February 5, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Please email MP Sohi to push IRCC to improve Edmonton IRCC Processing times...

That’s the only way, or keep waiting.

Also from Edmonton.I got FP request before test. In process since Dec 07. Did fingerprint on January 15 and rcmp has already sent results to Vancouver on January 16
Any idea how long cic Vancouver take to process results?

Mine RCMP sent the FP last January 15th to vancouver. And i called cic today and she said nothing on the file yet.

We courierd our FP to Vancouver office on 10th jan and i called CIC last Tuesday and they said this part is done. Now they are reviewing my doc. I think once they issue FP they put our file a side and someone else from Vancouver update FP. So now we have to wait for somwone from edmonton office to open our file again.

Guys, email MP Sohi. He is already working on delays going on in Edmonton and more emails will give him more reasons to better the IRCC office.

Look at October sheet Edmonton. It’s all RQs or no test invite. It’s horrible.

I don’t think email MP Sohi will fix the problem because CIC has 12 months from application received to oath ceremony. They have to check lot of things
I know we all want this last step done but don’t be stressed

I agree with you 100%.

Only issue is why edmonton is slower to ch ci those “lot of things” while Calgary and other offices are faster. Just look at how many October applicants from Edmonton are waiting for test invite and even In process.

Agree with you though, but it’s all about delays.

This new “Random” RQ is new one, and look at October thread- Edmonton got most of these Random RQs..

MPs have lot of power to push Minister to look into issues like these.

RCMP said fingerprints results verification was completed on January 16 and results have been sent to Vancouver and I called CIC this morning and agent said they have not yet received it.

Its not normal because as not everyone gets FP requests, and gets added to the "delay line". These "random" FP requests and RQs are not normal as most applications dont get them. Normal would be when most applicants get them. Those who get them usually end up chasing the dark trail of where all their documents went. Just like you calling RCMP and them saying they sent to IRCC, but IRCC says they didnt get.

Request MP Sohi to work with IRCC to speed up Edmonton office, or just keep waiting...........until someone turns the light on in the dark room where "randomly chosen" applications might be sitting now.

Rcmp sent mine on january 16 to cic Vancouver after verification and agent this morning said there is nothing on file yet
