Hi,

Just wanted to know what happens to ecas login after one have his PR card.

I got my card this week and after that could not able to access ecas for the last 2 days. Is it being removed ?

Also I got a fraud call this morning claiming to be from CIC (888 576 8502). The caller had all my personal info (including uci numbers, passport details) and tried to trick me into paying some penalties for some supposed date of birth mistake. When I told that I would like to have the info in mail and will speak to my lawyer, he hung up.

So I am a bit confused (and scared of course) if my ecas account is hacked as they have all my info. Is there any way that I can report this fraud call ?

Good that you asked details in mail
At least inform to CIC about this fraud

Now days these fraud call cases increased a lot . I am worried how we will distinguish between actual and fake call because these caller usually have all information about applicant >:( >:(

Any senior member in forum can suggest what happens after PR card issued, as I am not upto that stage
Keep posted

Thanks

From what I read and hear is that if it is a genuine call from CIC, the caller introduces themselves and explain the purpose of the call and most importantly NEVER ask for your credit card number or ask you to transfer money to some xyz account number.

Yes BigBee is right

Few more reasons why I feel it's not call from CIC.
1) Why he hung up the call once OP asked to send details in Mail ?
2) After PR card issued and every process completed , then only CIC realized this point for DOB missing, or what ever

It was a fraud call for sure as I haven't rec'd any email from CIC till now.

But what I am concerned about is the amount of personal info they have... I cant imagine what they can do when they know the passport info, address, uci... this is very bad...

on top of that the ecas account stopped working for me which is adding to the pain...

Status changes to COMPLETED.

That is for sure a fraud call. I recommend informing CIC and also report it to RCMP.
