Has anyone used the Ecas Application Tracker, which checks Ecas on your behalf and then sends an email to let you know if anything changes?

I used it. It saved me from obsessing over eCAS changes, especially given I was processed through an office that hardly bothered to use the thing consistently!

To quote from an infomercial, you "set it and forget it." If anything does happen to your file, it will let you know, meanwhile you can go on about your life.

weren't you worried about giving your details to an unknown third party?

I use it as well. And no, the person who created it, is a member here and has gone through the immigration process himself. From what I understand, they only keep the information until your file is closed on Ecas. Then the system just erases your information :)

I love the idea and privacy does worry me. It is simple really if your that concerned about giving out details, checking ECAS daily is hardly a massive job, just a matter of inputting about 30 seconds of data. The idea of having info delivered to your inbox is appealing.

The feedback that other people have used it, worries me less.

Where is this found?

Well, I just signed up because I'm mostly checking things up on my phone and it takes time to go through the drop down menus :-X

just did the same - also because I just keep on logging into ecas and finding nothing, so might as well try that...

well i don't find that it works well. i got an update a month later and no changes were on the ecas site. so i found that it's not helpful at all.

Oh really? bummer :(

I used it before and was happy with it. We did an Inland Application and there came a time when I was checking ECAS every 5 mins. When the decision made came, the tracker emailed me at 2am and since I'm the kind of person who sleeps with my Iphone, I woke up when I heard my phone beeped. It was funny and crazy at the same time when I woke my husband up saying that his application status has changed. We couldn't sleep and waited until 8am and called CIC to confirm the decision. After a week or so I received a message from the tracker saying that they are now closing my file.

Where do we find this ecas tracker?
