I am currently in Canada working and preparing to apply for PR. In order to do so, ECA is required. I have contacted my university (2 offices) to try to get my transcripts. One reply has stated ‘ We no longer have them on record because it was almost 10 years ago’. The other email stated that ‘ They could possibly be in another building which they can’t access because of a severe case of asbestos’. I just don’t understand how they can no longer have a record of my qualification. Has anyone ever faced anything similar? A friend of mine did in NZ and contacted the Qualifications Authorities over in NZ but I’m not sure if the UK has anything like that? I’m literally stuck on what to do..without ECA completed I might as well not even apply for PR!
