Hello Experts,

I have applied for FSW in Jan 2012 and was wondering if there is any possibility that my wife and I can undergo early medicals in case she gets pregnant this year before we get our PR. Is it possible that the DMP holds on to the medicals and sends it when it is requested? Is this really feasible? Just trying to anticipate and see how I can avoid delays in my PR application.

Cheers,

Seminole

No it will not be possible, you don't get that option.

The expiry date for taking up your Canadian permanent residency is 12 months from the date of your medicals. Consequently. taking your medicals early would mean that this date may have passed before your PR is granted triggering the need for another set of medicals (at your expense).

If you are that worried about pregnancy during the application period, there is always abstinence or birth control.

Lol....immigration forum turned family planning forum ;D :o :P
To add to that, you should do medicals ONLY when instructed by VO, you can't just do it at ur own will just for convenience sake.
