E-CAS processing time

we sent our application 23th november 2009 inland.i dont still check my e-cas status,anyone know how long does it take?

we are about to send in our application, do they mail something with telling us our ID number after receiving our application?

i checked my e-cas but it still say not able to see.....
they wont mail any paper i dunno just still waiting.

Asta. Once you mail your application. after it has been processed and approved they well send you a letter that has your Client ID Number. You can check your E-cas with your Receipt number too. For more information go to

I called early today and for inland, they are only opening apps received up until nov 13. So it probably hasn't appeared yet, but hopefully you will be soon!

I also found this out when I called -- if you have a visitor record, your client ID# should also be printed on that (the box under your country of citizenship). It's the same number. I'm not sure about work permits or anything else, but you might want to check. I called to get my client ID# only to find out I had it all this time on on my visitor record!

thanks for the info, but i dont have a visitor record or any other visa, all i have is a stamp in my passport of entry day..

how long after they receive my application, should i call them? u never know when they gonna open it maybe even after a month..

Asta, you just applied right, in February? I just called last week and they were still on november. I would give them 3-4 months.
