Duration Of Visa

Hello,

Im applying for a multiple entry visa and was wondering the duration of the visa, also im gonna apply within 10 days but i will be traveling to canada next year. Will that be a problem at the VAC for me?

you can travel anytime you want as long as the visa is valid.

Another question, im on a vacation for 5 weeks is there any way that i dont give the VAC my passport when im applying just in case it takes more than 5 weeks. And if i got approved i send the passport with someone?

If you apply through the VAC, I think they require your passport. Only if you apply online and get approved you can submit your passport after. I am not 100% sure abt how Local VAC works, please call or email them your inquiry.
