Hi,

I have applied as a spouse for the PR. I filled the forms and documents and sent it to CIC through my wife who lives in Canada.

Its been 3 weeks but we have not received any post or email notification for the receipt of the application nor have we been asked by CIC for the PCC doc and Background form.

I am aware that there might be huge number of applications with CIC but as far as i am aware the process has been made much faster to the earlier one.

Do I need to take some step from my end ?

Need your opinion on the same. Thanks.

Hi rockycool,

If it has been only 3 weeks, I would wait a little longer. You should probably get your AOR1 soon, hopefully this week. I heard that they are working on apps received on Jan. 25 this week. I am also waiting to hear as CIC received my application on Jan 25. I have not been able to link my application to my account yet, but it seems it is hit or miss with that also.

Hopefully you will hear something by the end of the week. If you did an outland application, there is a Jan 2017 sponsorship applicants thread. You can commiserate with others in the same boat as you and keep up to date on how others' application process is going on compared to yours.

Good luck and hang in there!

Hope we both hear something by the end of the week1

Cheers!

You will get aor1 in 3/4 weeks time or a few days more so hang in there.. the processing time for both inland and outland for 80% on applications is 12 months but no one knows if the promise will be kept...let s hope it will

Have you tried linking your application on MyCIC yet? That's the main thing that you should be trying to do at this point. There's nothing unusual about your timeline.
