Hey guys hoping you can help.

In june 2016 I was charged with low range drink driving with a reading of .067 and in August 2016 I went to court where it was dismissed and I was not convicted. I was a first time offender and between June and August I completed a driving awareness problem. Note this is in Australia where the BAC limit is .05

I am due to go to Canada specifically Vancouver for a family ski holiday in December. I am yet to complete the online visa application as I wanted to know first if I need to do anything special to help bolster my application.

Do you knows know if:

A - will I have any problems getting a visa as I was charged but not convicted and
B - if you think I will have problems do you know what I can do to better my chances

Thanks in advance for your responses.

You should be fine. I would apply for the ETA as soon as humanely possible (you've already left it late) in case the process takes longer than normal and they request court record. Do not wait and longer to apply.

EDIT: I'm assuming you're an Aussie and don't require a visitor visa.

Thank you. I’ll apply for the ETA and keep you posted. I thought I’d be ok but wanted to make sure...
