Hi,
My wife applied under the federal skilled worker category in Ontario whereas I have applied for SINP entrepreneur Saskatchewan. Both our applications are at different stages of immigration process.
Is it illegal to have two applications within a single family?
How far can I persue both the applications?
Shall I immediately discontinue one of the applications?

There is no law against having two applications. Many people do. When one of the applications gets to the stage of asking for medicals, you can cancel the other one.

Thankyou for your reply. A quick question. Can I apply for a student visa for a masters degree and proceed to canada with my family while my application for permanent residence is being processed and will it have any effect on the processing?
Regards,
Arif.

There is no problem with that. It's dual intent. You need to prove that you and your family will not overstay in case your PR doesn't come through same as any other student needs to prove that they will not overstay.
