DTAA - Canada & India

Hi,

Does anyone know what will be the process to take benefit of DTAA between Canada & India? I am resident of Canada and have rental & Interest income in India.

Which method has to be used - Exemption method, credit method or any of those 2 methods can be used?

I've typically used the credit method for things like investments/dividend (since my broker in India withholds taxes). No idea about rental income.
