We're about to buy a late model, used SUV this weekend. We live in California, a state which can take up to two months to provide car registration to a purchaser. The vehicle will have plates, but I'll only have the temporary registration. We'll be in Canada briefly on work permit and return with the car, of course. At the Auto Club (AAA) they suggested that the temporary registration would be a problem. Can anyone who has driven from the U.S. into Canada tell if I'm likely to have trouble getting the vehicle in.?
