Hello
I still haven't received my ITA. But my medical was taken on March 2020 so if I get my PR approved before March 2021 I may be asked to do a soft landing on or before March 2021. This was not my plan as I had not anticipated the COVID crisis.
My plan currently is to do a soft landing and then return to the US.
I currently live 1 hour 15 mins from the Canadian border.
I know that even 15 minutes inside Canada will count as one day of physical presence.
What if I visit Canada every single day in the night and then come back within 15 minutes. If possible enter around 11:50 PM and come back around 12:10 AM so two calendar days are counted?
Is this a normal acceptable practice or is it a loophole? If it's a loophole I will not do it even if it is technically allowed.
Edit: I will later move to Canada permanently in 2022 or 2023. What I mentioned above is obviously not permanent. This arrangement is to increase the Canada physical presence count.
