My husband has just went to live in Sask. Today he went to change his UK drivers licence along with his friend who is from the Irish Republic. Sask has a reciprocal agreement with the UK to directly exchange licences. The Republic of Ireland hasn't.
My husband hasn't been able to directly exchange his as they want proof that the licence is valid and he hasn't been disqualified from driving yet his Irish friend was able to directly exchange his and keep his HGV licence as well. Can someone explain this for me please?
