My girlfriend has just recently moved in with me from Ohio, we are planning on living together for the 12 months for common law status. We are currently living a little North of Toronto, we went to exchange her license today as it is good proof of us living at the same address...
We had some issues at the Drive Test center, the lady said that she needed a full record of her driving history but the DMV in her state of Ohio only issues 3 year drivers abstracts. We presented the 3 year abstract and she said that it wasn't acceptable and told us to call the Ohio DMV to get a full drivers history, which we were told in Ohio isn't possible, its either a 2 or 3 year abstract. She has been driving since 2010 when she turned 16, she has plenty of driving experience... I am wondering if maybe we just went to a bad Drive Test location?
Does anyone have experience exchanging a foreign license in the GTA? What kind of paperwork did you need in order to do it?
