Hi,
I am about to Sponsor my Husband very soon. Generic Application Form For Canada is one of the form which he has to fill. But we do not know what is UCI in the personal details and CSQ in Application details on the first page. Could any one help please ?

I was searching the same thing in this forum today, apparently UCI is a file or client number, that some have from previous applications. According to the guide, you should leave this blank, if you don´t have any.

If you don't have either of those just leave it blank, it's okay.

Wouldn't it be better to put N/A in the box? I've heard from many people that they left something blank instead of putting not applicable and the package was returned to them. It would be such a waste of a couple months to only have the package returned to you!
So leave it blank? or put N/A?

but some guidelines r like more powerful than others...there is overall guideline, there is guideline for each form, overall the rule is not to leave any questions blank, so i would put n/a toobor write none :/...also, if u leave it blank, does it still validate? (or i'm out of topic) :/

I believe the guideline says explicityly to leave it blank, so leave it blank

If you fill the forms electronically, you'll notice that certain fields (boxes) depend on others, for example in IMM 0008 if you answer question 6 (Where do you intend to live in Canada?) with a place other than Quebec, then Question 7 becomes disabled, meaning you're not required nor able to input anything there. The form will still validate because the logic is built in the form, so it's acceptable.

Same thing for question 14, if you answer NO by checking on the box next to "No", you'll notice that the boxes corresponding to names, relationship and From and To dates will become disabled, meaning you're not required nor able to fill anything in.

SIMPLE ANSWER.....

DO NOT FILL THEM IN ;D

I did not fill them and that is how it is meant to be because you do not have those numbers yet...once the app goes to Mississauga the PO will fill it in.

Believe me I know...I got my app back so I saw all they filled in...these were 2 of them!!

Thank you Every one. The reply from you all was very useful. I would rather say N/A. Since in the guide it says to mention as Not applicable.
