Hi,
I have a question to anyone who have taken the general IELTs. I have been practising cambridge's IELTS practice tests and I feel slightly concerned about the reading section.

My concern is that I don't necessarily agree with the answers in the answer key. Even after tallying my answers with those in the key, I still feel like my answers (the incorrect ones) are in fact correct. I feel like the answers in the key are not consistent as to what is expected from the examinee. For example, in one instance we are supposed to answer based on what is being implied in the text. But, in another instance if we answer based on what is being implied, the answer is marked incorrect! So, what is the correct way of answering? Should I read in between the lines or not for the actual exam? Has anybody experienced this problem?

Please share your experience and any advice you may have for me!

I'd take more practice tests and learn to adjust to how they score the exams because the practice exams are pretty similar to the actual exams that you take at testing centers. The exams questions usually has the same format, so if you can get used to how the score the exams, you should be fine!

Thanks guys. I took my test today. I did find that the reading section was a bit more difficult than in the practice tests. Lets see how the scores turn out!
