For info purposes, I have called my co-worker and he confirmed that only immigration visa was crossed during landing. He still has his last work permit and his last TRV was not touched. What are you guys basing your opinion on when you affirm all visas being canceled? IS here any person who actually HAD this done to?

I am looking for someone who actually traveled before getting PR card. There were similar questions asked in this thread, but no clear answers were given.
So, listen carefully as mine is complicated ???:
TASK: I plan to land sometime in early March and I have to travel home-firm-in the end of April. Which means- obviously- there will be no PR card then (current waiting time is 59 days).
CURRENT SITUATION: I have work permit and TRV valid till July 1, 2014. My planned return date is before that date.
HOW I SEE MY OPTIONS:
1) Land asap and return to Canada on my current TRV
2) Land on a way back (wasting lots of time when I could have card already)
3) Applying for temporary travel document at home as well as getting the PR card through FedEx- are last resort options, I do not really consider them

Now, there is this forum member who shared his experience on landing. The officer told him that obtaining immigration visa DOES NOT cancel all other visas. In discussion some people tried to argue it in this thread, but noone could prove their side, cos there is no clear rule about either (I checked OP manuals, didn't find anything about what happens with pre-existing visas).
This is whole key question in my situation. When I land, does officer cross all existing Canadian visas or just immigration one with one entry? Me and people who must travel before PR card will appreciate the answer very much
I landed on January 23 and during landing they took my work permit which was valid till February 2015. However, they said that if I want to travel to foreign country (except USA) before getting PR card, I need to apply for TRV which will allow me to reentry to Canada. So for your case, I beleive you can travel with existing TRV (not Work permit) and the document they'll give you during your landing.

Hope it will help. :)

MR. SIDHU, this is the thread for people who wait for their PR cards or have questions about it. You should try in other PNP topic, maybe here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/timeline-for-pnp-applicants-for-onlynew-delhi-visa-office-20122013-t139697.0.html
But reading your question
How much more time till i get a call for Medical & finally PR?
,
I have to warn you it's not a forum of psychics or fortune-tellers.

So, my visa has been stamped and I have sent email to Ottawa asking whether there are any regulations re: valid TRV after landing.

Here is their answer:
You will not be able to re-enter Canada on your TRV if you have completed your landing. You have a few options.
1) Can wait and complete your landing upon your return from your trip.
2) Complete your landing, travel and then apply for a PR Travel Document at the embassy of the country you are going to be traveling.
Regards,
So, travel document it will be, as I won't postpone my landing for 2.5 months.
Could anyone who traveled with travel document raise their hands here please? I have some questions regarding it.

How long did you wait to receive your document? My trip is planned for 4 weeks, and official processing time is 10 working days.

Well, I landed on March 23 and still waiting. Call centre agent said they fell behind their official times, and I would have to wait another 3 weeks. Damn, it means my PR card will take around 120 days!
