Does your BOWP become invalid if your PR gets rejected?

My BOWP is approved with validity of Sep,2015 , I am expecting some decision on my PR by Feb , 2015.

Now God forbid if due to some reason if my PR gets rejected in Feb,2015 am I allowed to stay till Sep,2015
or I have to leave Canada in feb,2015.

I do see this topic being discussed some months back on below link but it was kinda left open.

I do plan to call CIC regarding this, but just wanted to hear from you all.

Ok I did call up CIC and the good news is the person is allowed to stay till BOWP's validity date.
However it wouldn't be renewed.

If anyone calls CIC on the same , it would be nice to hear what they have to say as well.
