Does work experience need to be contiguous ?

My first job was about 6 months, then a week of gap to my second job which lasted for 2 years and 2 months. (Total 2 years 8 months).
After this I went for my masters, and am now working again. I plan to go for phd soon, after completing a job for 6 months.

My question is does the gap of 2 years and some months between my second and third job matter in eligibility for EE points ? I want to get 3+ years of work experience points

not exactly, you should at least have one full time continuous. if you have that + two jobs of 6 months each it will add up to 2 years. but if you have 4 jobs of 6 months each then it wont count
