Does the port of entry matter for PNP application?

I have a notice to complete our PR landing before end of the year. My application was via the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) but am currently living on the West Coast, so Vancouver will be a much closer port of entry.
As this is not super prescriptive on the website, I'm hoping to learn any data point from the group on entering at a different port than the PNP province you applied through.
Stretch goal/question: I understand that there was an extension granted before June 30, 2021 for PR landing. Can one still apply for extension at this time, or is it too late?

You can complete your landing at a port of entry in BC. However it should be clear you plan to live in Ontario / have an address in Ontario and you will also need to provide an Ontario address for the mailing of your PR card. If it looks like you have no intention of living in Ontario, you may be refused landing.
