I was wondering if in a couple, the wife was the main applicant for permanent residence of Canada; does she has the right to take back the permanent resident status of her husband if they go through a divorce in the country?

Thank you. :)

I guess the answer is no if the couple has already "landed" in Canada.

Once the sponsored person has landed in Canada there is no option for the sponsor to cancel a sponsorship.

If they applied for PR at the same time but the wife was the main applicant, once they have both landed, there is no main applicant any more. The husband's PR would be equal to the wife's PR and neither of them can take it from the other one.
