Sponsor you? Just for your info CCB is not social assistance but a monthly tax free payment meant to both encourage people to have children given Canada’s low fertility rate and to try to partially offset the high cost of raising children in Canada. The amount you receive is determined by your family income. That is why you and your child need to be living in Canada to receive CCB. Assume you and your spouse are currently living in Canada.
