Does PGWP refusal affect on Express Entry?

I am taking the last term in one of the public colleges in Vancouver now.
However, I had a serious health problem in 2020, so I needed to come back to my country.
There was a term break from January to April 2020, and I got back to school from September 2020.
So there was a gap between May to August.

I heard that the gap might affect the PGWP eligibility, but I want to try for getting the PGWP with my best.

My question is if I were refused to get the PGWP, would it affect on Express Entry process in the future?
For example, there will be a risk that I cannot get approved by the EE due to the PGWP refusal.

Yes, you are supposed to be full time for your program unless it is the last semester to be eligible for a PGWP. If you have a letter from the school saying that they authorized your leave, then include it in your application. You can include doctors’ notes too.

It will not effect your Express Entry profile but you will not be eligible for CEC since you will have no Canadian work experience.
