Hi, I am from Mexico and already have my study permit approved and hope to be moving to Canada shortly with my family. My younger child is 4 years old so she cannot assist to elementary school and therefore no Study Permit is required yet, so she has been issued with an eTA. According to IRCC, Mexicans need an eTA rather than TRV. I was recently told that due to COVID by the time we move to Canada as a family, my daughter will be required to hold a TRV in addition to the eTA, and that she should be applying for the TRV now so by the time we move we are all clear; otherwise, she will not be able to enter Canada.
Please let me know if this is accurate or if there is some kind of misunderstanding. If it´s right I´ll begin with her applications asap, but if it´s not right, I don´t want to apply to something that is not necessary and could damage the whole process. Thanks in advance!
