Hi everyone,

I'm trying to apply for the express entry and i'm not sure if my experience qualifies for NOC. Please help me with these questions:
- I have been working part time in 2016 and full time from january 2017 till now as a tax analyst. I'm not sure if my experience match NOC 1111 or NOC 1431.

- If I continue working parttime in 2018, can my hours be combined with parttime working hours in 2016 in order to qualify for 2 years working full time? (from 2016 to 2018)? Or must I work full time in 2018 and ignore 2016 experience? (I want to focus on IELTS as well that's why working part time is better)

- If I have a job shift in 2018 and it qualfies for NOL, can I also combine with my current experience?

- I have a cousin (son of my uncle), who is living in Canada as a student. Does it make me qualify for adaptability points?

Thank you for helping me out.

Adaptability points are only given for siblings. A cousin is not a sibling.

To calculate your years of experience, you do the following:

1) For each week that you worked 30 hours or more - count it as 1 week of experience.
2) For each week that you worked less than 30 hours - add up the total number of hours and divide by 30

If you have at least 52 weeks then you can say you have 1 year of work experience. If you have at least 104 weeks of work experience, you can claim 2 years.

Thank you Scylla,

Do you know what the system actually requests for proof of working hours? Do I need to provide all of my paystubs? Do I need to provide 104 weeks of my time sheet (2 years)?
And if I change job but both the old one and new one qualify for NOC, can I still claim my continuous years of experience?

Thank you.
