Does maternity leave count as "employment"?

Hi guys!

I'm now on Question 11, trying to list the details of my education and employment history.

My situation is, from October 1, 2017 I've been on mat leave. And the boss and I decided I will come back to work in July, 2018.
So how can I describe my employment situation?
Should I write from xxx to Current, I'm an employee of this company? Or from xxx to September 30, employee of that company.. And from October 1, 2017 to current, I'm on mat leave?

Thank you very much!

Yep...
Just write "On maternity leave". They are not looking for $$ made or job etc. purpose of all this is to verify your residency requirements. If you have filed taxes filled up stuff with CRA etc. all will be good.
