Hi guys,

I was recently inadmissible to the us with a 5yr ban for misrepresentation. Would thia negatively affect my express entry application? I am the principal applicant.

Please assist with this info to enable determine if I should continue with the process.

Thanks

It won't be an issue provided you are 100% honest about your immigration history in your immigration application to Canada and provided that there are no criminality issues involved.

Yes, it will impact in the context of your review, once CIC gets that information from the United States (and they will). You will need to ensure that you have not misrepresented - they will be reviewing your file extremely closely with this in mind.

It doesn't mean that you're barred, just that they will review closely.

Yes as stated that they will review your file closely and it will take longer. However, make sure that you are honest in everything from the start.
