I already have a visitor visa for Canada and have recently gotten an invite. Will having a visitor visa speed up my PR process since they already have my biometrics saved?

It doesn't really speed up the process. IRCC still has to complete the security and background check.
Short Answer: No.
You wont have to give biometrics that's the only difference. Rest everything remains the same and you will be subject to all the other checks like other candidates.
