does candidate with more CRS points will be processed faster in the same round?

Hello, I just have a question about the correlation of process time and CRS point. So if two people (assuming CRS 1000 points and 480 points respectively) are selected in the same round in express entry, does the one with 1000 points will be processed faster than the one with 480 points? Or the process time are the same for all eligible candidate in the same round, regardless of how many points do they get?

Thanks a lot.

It will be hard to justify anything and take either side to answer the question. But personal experience, I would say it doesn't matter. My ita cut off was 451 my score was 509 and I am still waiting for PPR almost 7 months. However, so many who applied in July/Aug/Sep with same ITA about 80% got PPR in Jan/Feb 2016. My random guess is not even 20% out of which will be close to 500 point.
So, I would say it has nothing to do with CRS point post ITA. Everything is on luck or quick/less processing time taken for an application or just BULK PPR where they might just randomly give out PPR. ( if that ever happened in past or will take place in future)

Same speed regardless of point.

Thanks a lot, scylla. Because I saw different candidates with drastically different process time in the express entry. Some can get the COPR in less than 2 months but some takes a lot more longer. So I got the impression that the higher points candidate get processed faster. And I don't see the CIC website has any information on that regard. So I just wonder if there is any "code and act" about it from CIC?

The different speeds have nothing to do with the points. What can influence processing times are things like length of background check, length of security check, number of PCCs involved, any complexities with the medical, any complexities with supporting documentation, etc.

There are many immigration streams that don't involve points. If you look into these, you'll see applications have drastically different processing times there as well.

I dont think there is any co relation between crs score and speedy processing. Processing time primarily depends on complexity in application. If application docs are straight and there is nothing much to audit, means faster ppr. This is the observation from what people have shared in various threads.

Hi

I had to give a US PCC other than PCC from my home country. I have already passed criminality. Do you think number of PCC also affects security time or just criminality? If so, do you have any idea how much would this add to the processing time?

Thanks
