Does an EE profile get automatically updated when completing one year of full-time work?

Hi all,

Thanks for all the great information shared in these forums! Here's my situation and question:

Having an Express Entry profile created a few months ago, I had not completed one year of full-time work yet. Now I am over 12 months of work and my profile is up to date, but still the Canadian Experience Class field on the profile indicates "Not met". Is an EE profile supposed to get automatically to Canadian Experience Class = Met just by the passage of time? Or do I need to create a new profile in order to get the Canadian Experience Class re-evaluated?

Cheers!

Others can comment given I am not sure but cannot see how work experience would update automatically given you would be assuming IRCC will make an assumption that you are still employed when it is down to the applicant to prove they have the required experience. Cannot advise what to do next so should wait for someone to advise next step although other posts on here seem to show not even applying for CEC until the experience is met.

This post seems to indicate an auto update but for a different experience, as said not something I can answer

It does not. Create a new EE profile and submit it.
