Hello, I have a husband who is 68 yrs.old but he looks 10 years younger than his age :) and I am 27 . We are on the process of submiting our docs for spousal visa. I'm a little bit worried that we might be denied due to our age gap :( We are married for almost one year now and both of us are not god in saving tickets ( pics, plane tickets, hotel invoices etc.) so we only got few pictures during our trips, and few reciepts for money transfer..Please advice on what else I need to do inorder to prove to them that our marriage is genuine. His family wanted to see me and I am excited of meeting them too Please help...

Start collecting as much letters of support and proof that you can. Be prepared to address the age difference and show how despite that there is one, you two are genuinely in love and a couple. Show how it works for you two.

Goodluck.

Your age difference will certainly be a red flag. You need to make sure you include a significant amount of evidence in your application that proves your relationship is genuine. Both of you need to start focusing on saving evidence and putting together a strong application package.

Definite red flag. You're going to have to prove without a doubt that you are in a genuine relationship.

How long was the courtship (the time you met until the time you got married)?

You've been married a year, which is great, congrats, but you'll need to document your time together as husband and wife.

What about the financial situation? Are you independent? Does your spouse send you money? If so, how often? What's it for?

All obvious evidence such as pictures, e-mails, and so on, are good, but they will not satisfy the big gap in age. You're going to need letters from friends and family, a very lengthy detailed explanation as to why you chose someone who is so much older than you.

Put yourself in the VOs shoes. He/She will definitely think something is fishy...so you need to cover every possible angle.

Good luck!

What was the length of courtship? Months, years, days? The shorter the courtship, the more proof you'll need to submit...but not just pics...you'll need something more substantial.

41 years of age difference? no evidences? this will be scrutinized by the visa officer who will work on this. interviews and lots of additional documents MIGHT be asked for this. this is a red flag for the officer, my friend.

I am not good in keeping stuffs so my bad :( We have around 80 picutres I guess and some reciepts, a lease of contract of the apartment where we are staying and what i will be working on is Fencesitter's advice to write a narrative about our relationship, and letters from our friends.. We hire a consultant acutally and she is still checking all the papers I submitted. Well if its really God's will then everything will be possible no matter how impossible it is ;)
