Hi All,

I have been invited to CIC Calgary for my citizenship test. The letter indicates bringing ALL original documents. What does this include? Does it also include my Canadian University degree (which is in a huge frame)? I was assuming my original passports and landing paper should be sufficient.

In addition, do I need to take original documents for my 3 year old son, whom I applied for with my application? They didn't seem to ask documentation for him.

Thanks!

Are you sure they only ask for

all your original documents
and not
all your original documents that support your citizenship application (…) ?

If the second is the case you just bring what they asked for.

Plain and simple,
you bring the original document for each copy you had added to your application. If you sent a copy of your University degree you have to bring the original document.

They usually specify the originals they'd like you to bring, so definitely bring those (passports, pieces of ID, etc).

You can also consider bringing a copy of everything you submitted in case they need to look into anything, plus anything new that might add to your case (a new job, house, diploma and so on). They might not look at them, but it doesn't hurt to have them with you in case that adds to your case.

If you have specific questions on documents, call CIC and they can help clarify what's required.
