Hello everyone,

So just to triple-check - any document that is in englsih does not need to be certified, notarized, etc.?

And any document that is not in English has to be taken to the notary public for translation and certification?

Yes....but small correction: the one doing the translation should be a sworn translator (ANDDD, don't forget to ask the sworn translator for an affidavit for each translation...)...NOT a notary public.

The notary public only does the certification.....

Yes, but keep in mind this is for photocopies only. If you are submitting an original document (like police certificate) that is not in english/french, then obviously a certified true copy is not needed since it's the original.

The documents in question are copy of international passports, a copy of a permanent resident card, and proof of employment in Canada - all in English.
The rest we have already got sworn-translated and notarized.
