Hi everyone,

I'll be very thankful if anyone could help me how to reply to the following CIC request.
I've received the following request from CIC, for a copy of my passport. What I should send? is it the page where it shows all my information?

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
> Passport/Travel Document: Please provide a copy of new valid passport This must be received at this office by
[date].

thanks,

could you please share your time line..thank you

here is my application status:
application received: on March 11, 2013.
Medical request: on Dec 14, 2013
Medical received: Jan 27, 2014

it looks like passport request. congrats!

well, if you are from visa exempt country (which seems as you are since they ask for a copy, not an actual passport), just send a copy of page showing your personal info and signature.
I don't think you have to send every single page

Did you send passport copies(All pages) with the application? If yes, this is request for Passport for CORP

Actually, I only sent one page of my passport with the application.

i dont think you have to.
i only sent the front page with my personal info and signature on
and it was fine both times (when i applied and when i got passport request).

what did they say in the email?
just do what they ask you to do in the email and youll be fine.

I have received similar email day before I have received MR, RPRF and biodata.

They were asking about copies of the new passports for my children. The children passports expired after I send my application so I needed to provide CIC with copies of currently valid passports.

As CIC is also referring to new passport in the email sent to you, there might be something which has expired in your passport which copy you have sent in the application.

Hi everyone,

I have the same experience, they were asking for a scanned copies of mine and my husband's passport though not indicated "new". We were done with rprf payment, biodata and medicals last Month. I was wondering if we're near to ppr or it was just a case of missing documents.

Btw, i am not from
A visa exempt country.
