Hi All,

Please, I would like to ask your help with a question about the documents prove a complete foreign educational credential.

On the document checklist form, under the item 13 - Canadian Education Credential or ECA report, it says that we should send Proof of a complete foreign educational credential AND an original ECA report.
Proof of a complete foreign educational credential can include copies of :
1- post-secondary education documents (certificate, diploma or degrees) and
2- Transcripts for sucessfully completed post-secondary studies

In this case we need to send the translation for both, is that right?
Should we send the originals os these translations or a copy?
Has anyone sent the originals?

Thank you!

ECA dont need originals of marksheets or university degree certificate.
only attested copies are requried.

My university certificate are not in english. So, that's why I need these translations.

I was just wondering if we need send the transcripts to CIC too. I think we do, but a lot of people only sent the original ECA + copy of the university certificate. but in the instruction on IMM5612E, it says the proof of foreign educational credential can include copies of certificates and transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-sencondary studies, if applicable.

Thoughts?

For CIC - Original ECA with 'proof' of foreign educational qualification is a must. The proof can be copies of degree certificate and/or University Transcripts.

Hi everybody!

Really need your help again! My diploma is not in English. I've already got my ECA report and was ready to submit my application, but just realized that I don't have a notarized copy of my diploma. I did my ECA report in University of Toronto and they didn't require the notarized copy, just the copy of diploma and the copy of translation of diploma. So what I have now is the copy of diploma bounded with translation, signed by translator and sealed together (copy of diploma and translation) with translator's seal. So the copy is not officially notarized and there is no affidavit on translation. Would that be ok if I send it together with ECA report? Or will they return my application? My diploma is in my country of origin now, and it's gonna take at least 2 weeks to notarize the copy and get affidavit :(

For translated docs.....you need notarized copy.
For any English doc.....plain copy is enough. ..
