Hi,
@ congrats vpct,u r almost done with ur immig process n gonna be moving soon to canada.

@ ambreens, thanks so much for ur guidance.

one thing I wanna ask both of u is that PCRC registeration.....y cant u apply for that before PPR?

where in process is ur file ambreens?when do u plan to go for MCCE?
Its not that we cant register with pcrc before ppr. Just tobe on the safer side, when things are very sure about getting the visa, cos the registration money is nonrefundable. Iam expecting ppr2 in a months time inshAllah.

Its so good to hear Doctors joining in discussion.
Ive done the MCCEE and QE1. I pray that things go on well for doctors. Canada is surely a good country. The EE is simpler than the QE 1 but both are passable. Please doctors share your ideas of one`s survival in Canada . What are the future prospects? Is there any hope? But with God everything is possible. THE FSW immigration system is also likely to change as far as am reading on the websites. SO looks like those who have PR must guard it and make sure to mentain it. Keep this thread going, especially the landed doctors dont be silent.

Dear friends,

My question is as I have USMLE 1-2, and I am a specialist, is it possible for me to get license if I get MCCEE and USMLE 3

Hi loggan, welcome to the forum.
I would really appreciate if you tell a little more about your experiences there, specially regarding the licensing exams and all.
I might be wrong but you sound a little put off by the present situation in Canada, correct me if i am wrong. So far what i have heard about settling in Canada in relation to jobs and getting into the health system as a professinal, doesnt paint a very rosy picture...but still here we are all planning and striving....
wish everyone all the best.

Thanks Ambreens.
I think there are several factors to consider, ones expectations and background. The long term benefits of being a Canadian PR and Citizen out weigh the short to medium term suffering that many people get. Many people scrambling for Canada dont have really good home countries . There are several ways of looking at it.
1. God blessing you ( like what I have faith for ) and you practise as a doctor with a good pay and enjoy fully with your family.
2. Trading your Physician proffession for Canada PR and subsequent citizenship. Here you are looking at health benefits for your family, education, political stability and right to move to any country without Visa. Your trading your proffession bse you may never practise as a Physician ( unless things change or if you are extremely hard working). But you shall enjoy all other benefits.

Net working is the way to go. And the willingness to start humble with the hope of making it in the future. One thing about doctors is that we tend to trail behind other proffessions. We antagonise or fail to help each other. Its like we are competing amidst eachother. Yet we all want to survive. Lets hold eachother`s hands and move on. Lets give eachother workable tips for employment and passing exams.
Those who have the ability can explore the Australia option. AM told Sitting the AMC exam can eneble you practise as a Gp in Australia. Can some one throw light on this. YOu spend less but get your satisfaction

Hmmm..Loggan, this mix of uncertainty, hope, fears, dreams and most importantly faith, is life, be it anywhere in the world....may God be with us and our intentions pure.

Hi art,
i am sorry but i do not know the answer to your question. i have no knowledge regarding licensing process for those who took the USMLE. i hope someone else will answer your question. anyway, you can always check the websites of PCRC, MCC, and Health Force Ontario (if you'll be landing in ontario). :)

Dear Traumasurgeon, first thing is, where did u specialise and got your training from? If it one of he countries like UK ,USA, Australia, and some others countries, you might get exemption from mccee, or permission to work. Otherwise you have to go through the lisencing exams. The best way to get info is, go to the site of MCC.
Best of luck !
