You must provide all necessary documents to prove that your business is actively trading.
Some evidence you can include (as applicable to your business):
1. Business registration documents: Shop Act license, VAT registration, Service Tax registration, GST registration, Profession Tax showing the number of employees hired, IEC certificate, Partnership Agreement (if it is the case), etc
2. Six months' company bank statement + Tax returns
3. A few purchase orders/ works contracts + customer profile list with contact details
4. Profit-Loss statement/Balance sheet by a CA + Audit report + A projected income-expenditure statement for the next 2-3 months
5. Rent agreement for your office + 2-3 months' rent receipts/direct debits from your bank account
6. An explanation: Who will manage your responsibilities temporarily in your absence
7. An explanation: If your business allows you to spend company finances for an overseas visit (which is possible in a sole ownership)
