Now it is only matter of time to effect C6 in law.

BUT

Do you think new 3 years rule will make citizenship application slow processing.

When it will become a law ? Any idea ?

of course and it doesnt make any difference

4 yr wait to apply - 6 months wait to get citizenship

3 year wait to apply - atleast a year wait to get it

so not much difference

Correct 100%

But good thing is for the temporary residence who spen any time before PR
They will get maximum 1 year credit

Also another good side is after applying citizenship you can go for vacation bcz you don't have to worry as you already meet 3 years

Processing times will get longer anyway as the coming into effect of C-24 had the effect of instituting a drop in new applications for awhile, so IRCC was able to catch up on its massive back log. Will the processing times be even worse when C-6 goes into effect? Probably, unless they hire more staff, but that seems unlikely.

It would be delay
Not much as we r talking
Now it takes 4-6 month
After C6 pass will take 6-8 months

pls look at old threads to understand the waiting time

lot of people waited 1+ year to get it

so min one year wait default.
