I have a one-year long job offer as an Architectural Technologist (no LMIA).
Is this job LMIA-regulated?
In other words, am I awarded 50 pts for it? Should I answer "Yes" to "Does XXX have a job offer in Canada"?

What kind of work permit do you have? If the answer is an open work permit then no, you do not have a valid job offer.

Is this job LMIA-regulated? Huh? No such thing as an occupation that is "LMIA-regulated" - classes of workers may either require an LMIA or be LMIA-exempt, you've provided no information to to suggest which class of worker you are (what type of work permit do you have, or will you have?) I"m guessing you might be NAFTA-exempt...

Not enough info. Merely having a job or a job offer is not a "valid job offer," which must meet specific criteria. It's all on the IRCC website -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/offer.asp

Thanks again! Just as I suspected.

So, do I just click "no" to the question "Does XXX have a job offer in Canada"? Because the question goes on to specify
"The offer must:
be for full-time and for at least one year
meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers"

Since I have no LMIA, does this mean that my job offer, though for one year and from a eligible employer, does not meet the "different requirements"?

Well, I am now on an open work permit.

Too bad... open work permits are not eligible for this. You have to answer "no" to the valid job offer question.
