Do you get a stamp on your passport for PCC when you submit to BLS?

I got my previous PCC 2 years back, before coming to Canada. I had done that in person in Bangalore, and my passport has a stamp on it saying "PCC issued for Canada" by the superintendent at the RPO in Bangalore.

Now, if I were to submit my passport to BLS-Toronto for PCC, would I also get a stamp on my passport? Or would I just get a PCC certificate, and an acknowledgement letter?

Yes, you will get stamp on your passport again.
 
So if I were to get a friend or family to somehow get a PCC for me from India (I don't know how or from whom, but just wondering), my passport would not have a stamp on it...would this be a problem when applying for PR? Would CIC expect to see a stamp on my passport as well, or just expect to get a PCC certificate?

They just want the certificate and they won't see your passport up until you get the ppr.
 
I see, thanks. That helps. Is the PCC stamp on the passport a requirement? As in, would it be a problem if my passport doesn't have the stamp with they do a PPR?

One of my friend applied for his pr when he was in USA and over there they do not stamp anything on passport and all they do is just give you a clearance certificate and that's what he submitted, the good news is he got his pr and he landed in canada last month with no problem so don't worry
