Do we need USA visa in advance to travel by air

I know it may sound stupid question, but can we visit USA by flight or do visa is needed in advance for Canadian citizen?

What about connecting flights, if on the way we need to catch a connecting flight, do we need to apply for transit visa?


I am confused because I couldn't find Canada in USA Visa Waiver Country list

to be on safe side to avoid spoiling trip, its better to have visa if previously visa was rejected being a Canadian PR - but this is not expert /lawyer 's view.

No visa needed. But that doesn't mean u wouldn't be given a hard time... Need to watch out for the no fly list...
